This script is neat if you want to know where your visitors come from without:
a) Installing a ugly sitemeter-type thing.
b) Using bloated software that has a ton of functions you dont need.
c) Uploading a bunch of files and then reading a manual to install it.
This little script simply saves HTTP_REFERER into a file and adds a timestamp. No database needed. Its only 37 lines of code and can save an unlimited number of referrals. Just include the script on the page(s) you want to track referrals from. Easy as pie.
I was searching on the internet for a page rank script but couldnt find one -- but I found one that returns the checksum of a website, so I decided to make a modification of it that would query google and return the page rank. For those who do not know what page rank is, it is the algorithm in which Google has created to rank pages and is one of the many factors used in determining search engine placement or serps for short. This script is one of the only available ones for download Im sure that is open for users to view the source.
Weblog catches following data:
- date/time
- IP
- Host
- Useragent
- Referer
- browserlanguage
- screensize (if clients javascript is enabled)
- colordepth (if clients javascript is enabled)
Showlog creates following statistics:

- OS: OSfamily, OS details

- Websearch: Searchengines, query details
- hits by day for each month
- hits by month for each year

- Countrycodes
- IP to Country
- Clientlanguages: Languages, language details
- Screendata: Screen height and width, colordepth
Showlog additional overviews:
- detailed overview of logfile with filter-functionality
- Functions for unknown data - by clicking on Unknown in both statistics
- Unknown browser - search with google by clicking agent

StatsCode.com was developed for those who would like to run their own stats site where users can register to have their web stats done for them.
